Identity Validation
Verify the identity of individuals and businesses against official sources for compliance and fraud prevention.
What is Identity Validation?
Identity Validation verifies that an individual or business exists and that the registration data you collected is correct, by checking it against official and authoritative sources. It also surfaces whether a document has been flagged.
This is a standalone verification tool: unlike Account Owners, it does not create any entity in the platform — it simply answers whether the identity data is valid.
How it works
- Call the validation endpoint with the person's or business' identification data (document type and number, name, and other country-specific fields).
- Infinia checks the data against the corresponding registries and providers.
- The response indicates whether the identity is valid and returns the verified information.
Common use cases
- Validating a user's identity data at sign-up, before creating them in your platform.
- Checking that a document has not been flagged before enabling sensitive operations.
- Pre-validating data before submitting a KYC flow, reducing rejections.
