Account Capabilities
Payin and payout capabilities available per account owner type. Capabilities vary based on whether the account owner is an individual or business, and national or foreign.
Overview
Not all account types support the same payment operations. Which payins and payouts are permitted for a given account depends on the account owner type (individual or business) and whether the account owner is national or foreign with respect to the account's country.
The four capability dimensions are:
| Capability | Description |
|---|---|
| Payin — Same Name | Incoming transfers where the sender's name matches the account owner |
| Payin — Third Party | Incoming transfers from a sender with a different name than the account owner |
| Payout — Same Name | Outgoing transfers to a destination held in the account owner's name |
| Payout — Third Party | Outgoing transfers to a destination held in a different name than the account owner |
| Payout — QR | Outgoing payments via QR code |
Default Capabilities by Account Owner Type
The table below reflects the default capability set.
| Account Owner Type | Payin — Same Name | Payin — Third Party | Payout — Same Name | Payout — Third Party | Payout — QR |

These are the standard defaults applied at account creation. Capabilities are set based on the regulatory framework of each country and cannot be changed after the account is created.
If your integration requires a capability that appears as ❌ in the table above, it cannot be enabled for that account type. Contact your account manager if you believe your use case requires an exception.
